Why the CMR Teacher Training Pathway?

More accessible

Trauma-informed & Adaptable

Compassion-led

R
Shorter practices and a shorter course format make the Compassionate Mindful Resilience (CMR) easier for participants to commit to and complete, and better suited to modern life.
The CMR is designed with greater sensitivity to different nervous systems, life experiences and levels of capacity, offering a trauma-informed and more flexible alternative to the MBSR.
The MBSR builds awareness but the CMR goes further by integrating compassion, helping people respond to stress and difficulty with greater kindness, emotional safety and resilience.

What Other Mindfulness Teachers Are Saying

{

“We ran a pilot with 10 of our mindfulness champions and the feedback on it was amazing. A few of them said it was the best course that they’d ever done, and a lot of them said that it was more accessible than anything that they had experienced. It was easier for them to digest the information, it was easier for them to remember what was in the course and then go out and change habits and behaviours.”

Sean, HSBC
{

“This course has provided a solid foundation to support the beginning of my mindfulness and compassion teaching career and has enabled me to grow, learn and develop further with increased confidence.”

Jo-Anne Eastaugh
{

“I got lovely messages from participants, but also from our people champions and the leadership team. Thank you so much, Angie, for being such a fantastic tutor on the CMR and CMR TtT courses and for being the best supervisor I could have asked for. Your words of wisdom and encouragement mean so much to me. I feel so very supported and encouraged on this path.”

Magda Orpel
{

“Teaching the course has been a great experience. I’m now delivering CMR in companies, with another course coming up soon, and I’m also taking it into public settings.”

Fares Sayegh
{

“I’m feeling incredibly humbled by my experience facilitating the first ever Compassionate Mindful Resilience programme for an incredible group of women from the Women in Leadership Alumni Network at UCL. Thank you to MindfulnessUK for your continual support and encouragement. I’m looking forward to taking the CMR into more spaces in the future, it’s so needed in our world right now.”

Here’s What You’ll Learn To Teach

8 modules. 4 sessions. A shorter, research-backed mindfulness & compassion programme designed for modern life.

1. Explore mindfulness

=
K
Guide participants into the foundations of mindfulness, including present-moment awareness, doing and being modes of mind, short mindfulness practices, and ways to bring mindfulness into daily life.

2. Understanding Compassion

=
K
Teach the relationship between mindfulness and compassion, including self-compassion, self-soothing, and the role kindness plays in responding to stress, suffering, and self-criticism.

3. Introducing Emotional Intelligence

=
K
Support participants to become more attuned to their emotions, understand the physiology of emotional reactivity, and develop strategies to observe and regulate stress responses more effectively.

4. Cultivating Emotional Intelligence

=
K
Deepen this learning through mindfulness and compassion practices that build emotional awareness, strengthen inner kindness, and support wiser choices, more emotionally intelligent communication, and greater resilience.

5. Developing Resilience

=
K
Teach resilience-building strategies that support participants to respond rather than react, use breath and compassion to regulate stress, and build more nourishing, resilient relationships with others.

6. Enhancing Resilience

=
K
Help participants explore core values, understand the difference between wants and needs, and develop compassionate communication and resilient phrases that support steadiness in daily life.

7. Feeling Resourced

=
K
Guide participants in recognising and layering up resources, while introducing gratitude, self-appreciation, and practices that help rebalance negativity and support greater contentment, groundedness, and flow.

8. Feeling Connected

=
K
Bring the programme together by helping participants connect more deeply with themselves, others, and their wider mindfulness and compassion community, while keeping the learning alive beyond the course.
