Mindfulness Training For individual Teachers & Education Staff

Learn how to work with children and young people using Mindfulness and Compassion

This one day workshop focuses on how to deliver Mindfulness and Compassion to children and young people using the Minding Your Health in Education Programme toolkit of resources for children and young people.

The workshop consists of Learning outcomes 7 and 8 of the Minding Your Health in Education Programme

  1. Understand How to Use These Skills in Your Professional Setting
  2. Identify Ways to Integrate Mindfulness and Compassion in Your Professional Practice with Children and Young People

Who is this workshop Aimed at?

Any professional working with children and /or young people in a health and wellbeing, teaching or supporting role.  For example:

  • Teachers
  • Teaching Assistants
  • SENCo
  • PFSA
  • Education Psychologists
  • Social Workers
  • Integrated Therapies
  • Health & Social Care Professionals
  • Care Workers
  • Early Years
  • School Nurses
  • CAMHS Practitioners
  • Support Workers from the Public or Voluntary Sector

Assessment

There is no formal assessment for this training programme, each learning outcome is met through an opportunity to learn alongside peers.

Certificates

Participants will receive a Certificate of attendance at completion

Toolkit

Each participant will receive a MYHE toolkit containing activities for working with children and young people.

Entry Requirements

Firstly, you must attend a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction or Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy 8 week course.

If you haven’t completed the 8 week MBSR Programme either in person one to one, as part of a group or on-line via E-Learning you can book this with MindfulnessUK .

For individual bookings, these workshops run from The Pavilion, MindfulnessUK’s purpose build Training Centre in the heart of Taunton, Somerset.

Cost £265 per person, per one day workshop –  includes Toolkit of Teaching Resources.

For group bookings you can either come to Taunton or we can come and deliver at your organisation.  We will provide costs for groups according to individual group requirements.
