Mindfulness, Compassion & Creativity Programme
A 4-week in-person programme for those working with children and young people. It blends evidence-based mindfulness and compassion practices with creative activity, giving you practical tools to manage pressure, recover faster, and stay grounded.

Your staff show up for everyone else. This is for them.
Those who work closest with children and young people are absorbing a lot. Behaviour challenges, safeguarding pressures, emotional dysregulation, day after day. Over time, that accumulates. And when it does, it shows up as short temper, reduced patience, sickness absence, and eventually, good people leaving roles they genuinely cared about.
This bespoke programme gives staff something most CPD doesn't: time and tools to work on themselves.
Developed by MindfulnessUK and delivered in partnership with CICCIC, this 4-week programme blends the core foundations of the evidence-based Compassionate Mindful Resilience (CMR) programme with creative practice.
It's practical, it's grounded in published research, and it's already being used across the NHS, GP practices and social care settings.
Crucially, what they learn doesn't stay in the room. Participants leave with practices they can draw on in everyday life and adapt, appropriately, within their work with the children and young people they support.

Who Are MindfulnessUK & CICCIC? And Why Have They Partnered?

MindfulnessUK was founded in 2010 and has spent fifteen years developing and delivering mindfulness and compassion training across the UK and internationally. Based in Taunton, we are one of a small number of accredited mindfulness teacher-training organisations in the country, having trained hundreds of teachers now working across healthcare, education, workplaces and communities. Our programmes are internationally recognised, research-backed, and aligned with the leading professional bodies in the field.

CICCIC is Taunton's independent arts centre and ArtsHub, in the heart of the town. For over a decade, CICCIC has been a cornerstone of the local creative and cultural scene, running exhibitions, community workshops, wellbeing programmes, and arts education for all ages. Winners of the Best Creative Sector Support award for the South West of England, they have a long-standing reputation for doing something rarer than it sounds: using creativity as a genuine tool for community health and wellbeing, not just as entertainment.
When the two organisations met, the fit was immediately obvious. Mindfulness and compassion give people the inner tools to regulate and recover. Creativity gives those tools somewhere to land. Together they offer something neither would produce alone, a bespoke programme with the depth and warmth to create lasting change.
