What Our Students Are Saying

{

“We ran a pilot with 10 of our mindfulness champions and the feedback on it was amazing. A few of them said it was the best course that they’d ever done, and a lot of them said that it was more accessible than anything that they had experienced. It was easier for them to digest the information, it was easier for them to remember what was in the course and then go out and change habits and behaviours.”

Sean, HSBC
{

“This course has provided a solid foundation to support the beginning of my mindfulness and compassion teaching career and has enabled me to grow, learn and develop further with increased confidence.”

Jo-Anne Eastaugh
{

“I got lovely messages from participants, but also from our people champions and the leadership team. Thank you so much, Angie, for being such a fantastic tutor on the CMR and CMR TtT courses and for being the best supervisor I could have asked for. Your words of wisdom and encouragement mean so much to me. I feel so very supported and encouraged on this path.”

Magda Orpel
{

“Teaching the course has been a great experience. I’m now delivering CMR in companies, with another course coming up soon, and I’m also taking it into public settings.”

Fares Sayegh
{

“I’m feeling incredibly humbled by my experience facilitating the first ever Compassionate Mindful Resilience programme for an incredible group of women from the Women in Leadership Alumni Network at UCL. Thank you to MindfulnessUK for your continual support and encouragement. I’m looking forward to taking the CMR into more spaces in the future, it’s so needed in our world right now.”

Is the CMR programme evidence-based?

Yes.

The CMR programme has been developed, researched and refined over several years in partnership with universities and organisations. Research has demonstrated significant improvements in resilience, mindfulness and self-compassion among participants.

To learn more about the research, published studies and the development of the programme, read our CMR Celebration article.

What makes CMR different from other mindfulness teacher training programmes?

The CMR was designed for the realities of modern life.

The programme combines mindfulness, compassion, resilience, emotional intelligence, gratitude and self-kindness into one integrated approach. It is trauma-informed, ADHD-friendly and highly adaptable for different audiences and settings.

Unlike many traditional programmes, CMR uses shorter practices and a more flexible structure, making it accessible for participants who may feel overwhelmed by longer practice requirements.

Many teachers also find it easier to attract participants because the programme requires a lower time commitment while still delivering meaningful outcomes.

CMR has successfully been delivered within healthcare, workplaces, charities, education, community groups and specialist populations.

How long does it take to complete the pathway?

It is a 200-hr pathway with a minimum completion time of 12 months. Students must complete the pathway within 18 months of their start date.

How is the training delivered?

The pathway is delivered entirely online and consists of several stages:

  1. Complete the live online CMR four week programme (unless previously completed). This is 2 hour sessions, once a week, for four weeks.
  2. Complete the 6hr self-study teacher training modules in your own time.
  3. Attend one live online Teacher Training Day with your cohort.
  4. Complete required CPD elements, including:
    • Five 1 day MindfulnessUK retreats
    • Process of Inquiry Masterclass
  5. Deliver your first two CMR programmes under supervision
  6. Complete your portfolio
  7. Apply to become a listed CMR teacher

Retreats, Process of Inquiry Masterclass and supervised co-horts can be booked as you progress through the pathway to allow date flexibility.

Is there a licensing fee?

Yes.

To continue delivering the CMR programme after qualification, teachers are required to hold an active CMR Licence and to have signed the CMR Teacher Agreement.

From 12 months after your pathway start date, a licensing fee of £200 per year / £16.67 a month applies. This can be paid annually or through monthly payments.

The licensing fee helps maintain the quality, consistency and integrity of the programme and includes:

• Mandatory annual CMR teacher update training
• Access to the latest programme updates and resources
• Ongoing access to teaching materials
• Professional community support
• Teacher development opportunities
• Continued eligibility to deliver the CMR programme

All licensed teachers are required to sign and adhere to the CMR Teacher Agreement, helping protect the quality and reputation of the programme for both teachers and participants.
