What is the CMR Train-the-Trainer Programme?
It’s a delight to share this internationally recognised, efficacious programme, leading you to become a Listed Teacher with the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA) and/or EAMBA.
The programme was developed by Karen Atkinson, CEO MindfulnessUK, in 2020.
Over the next four and a half years MindfulnessUK partnered with universities to research this shorter programme with shorter mindfulness and compassion practices.
The first ever short programme to be recognised by the International Panel for the Acknowledgement of Mindfulness-Based Programs (IPA), an historical accolade.
Read More About This Programme
We saw an opportunity to make mindfulness and compassion something everyone can access, even in the busiest of lives. Now, more than ever, it’s essential that we bring the practice of building resilience into the mainstream. As the world moves faster, with AI and other concerns, more people are feeling disconnected and overwhelmed. This programme is all about helping us reconnect – with ourselves, with each other, and with what it means to be human.
So much of what we now do in our lives nowadays encourages and supports us in being separate, a situation that can only lead to isolation and associated mental and physical health problems. The power of learning this in a group setting is tangible and helps us to reconnect, as our neurological systems are hard-wired to do. We aspired to bring into the world an evidence-based training programme that can help more individuals, companies, families, communities build resilience, step back, step out and be more aware of what it means to be human. To connect, be kind and thrive.
This programme stands on the shoulders of incredible mindfulness pioneers and draws on well-known practices that have been adapted and shortened for real-world use.
The research shows the power of shortening these practices, combining mindfulness and compassion in ways that work for people today. International recognition widens the appeal, accessibility, and scope of the programme, helping individuals, companies, families, and communities experience the benefits of mindfulness and compassion in a way that works for them. It also opens the door for other short programmes to follow – this is just the beginning!
